Slow Sunday

Quiet times here at the farmette this weekend.  The girl of the house had oral surgery on Friday and the weekend has been full of smoothies, soft foods, and limited conversation.  It has also been full of baking, planting flowers, setting up fountains, and enjoying a free schedule.

Some softball later in the week and I see a new weed eater in my future.

School's out for summer!

Linking up with The Barn Collective.

  3. My wife teaches until Wednesday and then work days until Friday then it is over. Cloudy with some showers and in the low 60s, I didn't do much this weekend with no excuse other than being tired.

  12. This beautiful photo reminds me so much of my grandparents farm where I spent most of my time growing up. that farm and my grandmother's garden is where the love of nature and the outdoors was born in my heart. also love the cows in the pond photo below - a common site in this part of the country!

  19. A wonderfully-composed photograph. It's just perfect: the subject matter is enormously interesting; the reflections are great; the colors stand out and it's nice and focused.

    1. Teresa, this isn't on our farm, but just a couple of minutes away. A sinkhole drained our pond years ago. Wish we could get it back.

  23. When each of our kiddos has had oral surgery, I am reminded of what a schedule-less life would be like. Glad your weather cooperated and hope she is feeling better now. Enjoy your summer. We are out next Thursday....Chomping at the bit!

  29. Oral surgery is awful! I hope it's better for someone younger (everyone seems to be younger than me, lol) cuz it took me about a month or more to recover. Exceptional photo of the farmette behind the pond, looks like a painting.
